I became interested in photography while I was working as a parts driver, delivering plumbing parts around the city of Denver. With a lot of free-time during the work days I was looking for something I could do that would fill my time. So I decided to buy a camera and start shooting. I have been hooked ever since, working really hard while exploring and meeting people.
Growing up skateboarding, I was constantly looking at staircases, handrails, ledges, loading docks and gaps, things that most people wouldn’t look twice at because they see them as ordinary objects. When I saw them, I would try to figure out how to skate them. How could I transform those subjects and use them in a creative manner.
This type of alternative vision has carried over into photography. Looking at ordinary subjects and seeing what most people do not. Well I would like to show them, through my photography, that you are walking past beauty everyday. That there are moments in time that we do not see without the freezing ability of the camera.
